Prof. Dr. Serkan Salturk, serves as the principal investigator in the project titled “Development of a Deep Learning and Image Processing-Based Dimensional Weight (DESI) Calculation Algorithm,” supported under the TÜBİTAK 1505.
In the same project, Prof. Dr. Selçuk Çebi, Research Assistants İbrahim Cem Balcı and Onur Sarıalioğlu contribute valuable expertise.
This project aims to develop a real-time, accurate, and automated system for calculating dimensional weight (DESI) using dual-camera mobile devices and AI-based image processing techniques. The proposed innovative and portable solution is expected to enhance process optimization, energy efficiency, and cost advantages in the logistics sector.
